Server

Usually this ministry appeals to young people over the age of 10 years.

The server assists the Incumbent at the Altar. The server carries the cross during the procession and recession. Lighting the candles prior to the service, and extinguishing them before the recessional are part of this ministry.

The server receives the offering plate from the sidesperson, and presents it to the Incumbent for blessing. They assist the Incumbent in washing their hands in preparation for the Eucharist, and in the preparation of the bread and wine.

Training is provided after which Kyn Barker would be happy to add your name to the servers’ list.
